Is My Cult a good fit for you?

I am trying to Build a Cult of One Thousand True Believers

I believe that the world as we know it is about to face a crisis unlike anything it has ever faced before. I belive this based upon mountains of research from a vast army of experts, far smarter than I, doing detailed painstaking research over time periods longer than I have been alive in some cases. I believe we are about to taxed as Rome in the face of the Barbarian invasions, and Britain as it's empire faded.

And I do not believe that the modern interconnected, interfragile globalized world is ready for this test. I believe, based on everything I have seen, that our world will fail this test.

And I want to be one of the people to profit from this failure, in as much as any of us can be expected to profit from what will surely be the biggest upset of the last ten thousand years. I expect the world to turn upside down, and I want to be ready for it. And, I want to bring a tribe of like minded people along for the ride.

I am not foolish enough to think that I can profit from the end of the world on my own. I know that I need a team of smart and likeminded people who can help me survive and whom I can help in return. 

Global climate change is altering weather and rainfall. Peak Oil is taking fossil fuel markets (and other financial markets as well) on a wild rollercoaster ride with no good ending. Less prosperous nations are struggling to maintain their legitimacy in the eyes of those that they govern. Pollution is running wild and unchecked. More species are going extinct now than in any period of geologic history not listed as a mass extinction event.

I don't plan to try and convince you of any of this. There are plenty of better books to do that. I'm not interested. I'm interested in finding a tribe, people interested and will to work with me on this idea. To research ways of surviving and thriving in a likely inevitable post apocalyptic future of uncertain shape and form.

Because, just maybe, we can help each other find our way forward into an uncertain future.
