I have watched Rebecca Black's infamous video 'Friday'. And I believe it exemplifies everything that is wrong with our culture. The desire to be famous and popular, the obsession with quick results without needing to build your skills and put in the work. While I admire Ms. Black's audacity and willingness to put herself out there, but a foundation of hard work and skill is lacking.
And this is, of course, the problem.
We want to build skyscrapers without laying foundations.
